Mega Man 2
Mega Man 2 is known for many things. It is widely considered the best Mega Man game of all time, it had a very memorable soundtrack, and it was hard as hell. I can still vividly remember launching the NES controller after getting annihilated on Quick Man’s stage by those damn laser beams. Like the original Mega Man, “2” featured the same weapons system: Kill ‘em and take their powers. It was fun trying different combinations on the bosses, trying to find their weaknesses. Sometimes you’d have to just man it up in your standard suit if all of your current abilities seemed ineffective.
Mega Man 2 set the standard for future MM titles to come.
It also featured the most useful weapon of the series: Metal Blades. Other than the strange box art, it was an A-class game that’s still challenging to this day
