What About Using Indoor Tanning Lotions

If you have ever been to a tanning salon you are extremely familiar with the salesperson asking you to buy a bottle of indoor tanning lotion. Tanning salon employees are normally required by the salon owner to ask every person to buy a bottle of tanning lotion because they make an insane profit on it. But, just what is indoor tanning lotion?

There are a vast amount of indoor tanning lotions on the market now that the word “overwhelming” would be an understatement when trying to decide which lotion to use. There are literally dozens of brands and a few different types of indoor tanning lotions that you may choose from. Mainly, they include bronzers, tingle lotions and normal lotions (which have no tingle or bronzing ingredients). Other lotions you might see are a combination of bronzer and tingle lotions, but they are not used very often.

All indoor tanning lotions will have at least some additional ingredients in their formulas to make sure your skin doesn’t dry out and stays protected. The vast majority of lotions might have quite a few extra ingredients, and that is what makes each lotion different. You might see things like hemp seed oil, anti aging compounds and skin firming compounds on the labels of many lotions. Other lotions are so advanced that it is kind of expensive just for a bottle of lotion but you can be sure that if you did not have an indoor tanning lotion on your skin, you would experience severe skin damage.

Bronzer tanning lotions are more than likely the most popular and have been marketed as the quick route to a deep dark tan; which is probably what many people want when they go to a tanning salon, and sometimes they just cannot wait. What makes bronzer lotions unique is the ingredients that stimulate and accelerate skin browning. Their formulas work with the natural construction of your skin to give you a very dark color in a very short time. If you plan to use a bronzer indoor tanning lotion during your tanning sessions you can expect to look distinguishably darker in only a couple visits to the salon.

The thing to keep in mind is that indoor tanning can expose you to health risks if you do not take the right precautions. Protect and nourish your skin both before and after a tanning session by using a good indoor tanning lotion.
