It can sometimes be really tough to pick out the perfect gifts for everyone our lists.  Whether it be a christmas present or simply a birthday gift it can be really tough to pick out what would be just right for one of our friends or family members.  If you are like most then you probably will resign your efforts and do the absolute minimum amount of work by getting them a gift card, but if you for once you’d rather give them a daring gift that they’ll enjoy then there are a few things to consider first.

The first thing to do is list out their hobbies, which you’ve probably already done.  They may not seem to need any of those, but chances are you can find something they don’t have just by asking.  If you have given up on that method then it’s time to think about what they might be able to use.  This can range from a shaving brush set to new bedding.  If they are a guy then shaving supplies are always a smart move.  Men always need to shave and it will be something they can use over and over again.

The same is true if your person is female.  Try to think about something they could use over and over such as a new makeup product or even a luxury bottle of lotion.  The possibilities are endless.  The best gifts are almost always the ones that people can get the most use out of.  If there is something that you own and your friend has mentioned that they could use one too then that should be a pretty obvious sign for a great gift.  If you are still stuck after going through that process then always remember that gift cards do exist and there is nothing wrong with resigning to them after you’ve given it some good thought.
