Once you figure out the size and look that you want to create with the carpet, you need to choose the pattern and color that is suitable for your house. If you are looking for one that will stand out, choose bright colors and stylish patterns. To focus on a certain piece of furnishing in the room, get a simple one that will easily blend in with the rest of the room. Your own personal style should also be reflected in the rugs that you choose.
