Having a swimming pool is a great way to keep yourself and your children entertained throughout the summer months. Imagine just being able to wake up on a warm summer morning and knowing you only have to walk a few feet to your very own swimming hole! Although swimming is great exercise and it is nice to just float around and relax and work on your tan, sometimes, that can be a little boring, especially for kids. Swimming pool toys make a great addition to your pool and are great to have on hand at all times. There are many types of swimming pool toys you can buy and here are some ideas on what is available:

1) Inflatable mattresses. These are good for just lounging, relaxing or reading a book while in the pool

2) Inflatable inner tubes. Great for people who are not strong swimmers but want to get around even in deeper water.

3) Foam noodles. Also great for people who are not great swimmers and are also great for your in-pool workout routine!

4) Balls, nets, rackets, etc. These can be used for a variety of water games and are especially fun to use when there is a large crowd of people who want something to do as a group.

5) Inflatable boats. These are good for just floating around without getting wet.

There are also many ultimate pool toys on the market today that are a combination of the above toys or just a bigger or better version of them. Any of these can be purchased at stores that sell pool supplies, most department stores and toy stores. You can even make your own toys at home with various items found around the house but make sure to take into consideration the safety of those who will be using them and never allow children to use any toy without proper supervision!
