What You Should Know About Teaching English in Korea
Teaching in Korea is a great way to make money and learn about a unique and interesting culture. Teaching English in Asia is normally just about the experience and being able to travel, but in Korea you can also make a good living and become part of Korean society and learn about the culture.
South Korea is not yet a popular tourist destination, and this makes it that much more appealing. Although there is a large group of expats in the major cities, if you choose to teach in rural areas, you may be the only westerner you see. This can be a negative factor, as you may feel isolated and lonely at times. The Korean people are incredibly kind, however, and will treat you like a kind of celebrity.
Your teaching experience can differ greatly depending on whether you teach in a public school or at a private institution. At a private “Hagwon” as they are called, you will be one of many EFL teachers, and will teach fairly small class sizes. This is a better option for those who have never lived in a foreign country before, as you will have other westerners teaching alongside you.
Teaching in a public school can be a bit of a culture shock, especially when teaching in a rural area. As I mentioned earlier, you will probably be the only westerner around, and the students will treat you like a celebrity. If you aren’t someone who can deal with all of this attention, this may not be for you. As you will be the only English teacher at the school, resources will be limited, and you will have to make your own lesson plans.
Teaching in Korea can be a very rewarding experience, and the benefits are large in terms of salary and accommodations.
How to understand when someone is lying
Body language is the way we communicate with our body. It is the most widely used language but only a few people can understand it correctly. When it comes to people who lie, body language can explain a lot. It can uncover a person who lies because there is a strong relationship between what we think and how we express it.
If you are looking for ways on how to tell if someone is lying, then body language is the first place to start. There are several body signs that betray liars. Some of those signs are explained below.
When you lie, the heartbeat is increasing, breathing becomes quicker and the liar takes deep breaths like drowning. The body is shaking nervously and there is continuous movement of the hands and legs.
The liar is making posture changes while standing or sitting. You may notice a change in the leg positions when someone is trying to tell a lie. Telling a lie is causing inconvenience for the body and this awkwardness is exposed through body movement.
Liar’s usually shaken their legs and their hands on the table, while at the same time they are pressing their tights together. If they are sitting and you notice that their feet are facing in a different direction than the person sitting opposite them this is a sign that the person is probably lying.
Another way to understand if someone is lying is when the liar is trying to become too friendly. They usually do this by a hit in the back, or touch on the shoulders. They do this just to trick you that they are on your side and gain your trust. If you notice that this familiarity is unusual and too much then you can suspect that the person is trying to lie to you.
Finally, it is very well said that when someone is lying you can see this is their eyes. Eyes never lie and if you can read someones eyes then you can definitely tell if they are lying or not. Watch the eye movements of the suspected liar and try to understand if they avoid the eye contact or not. This is usually happening so as to hide and avoid exposing to others that they are lying.
Telekinesis – Not Just The Stuff Of Fantasy
Be honest. When you were a child, didn’t you wish you could toss cars in the air just by thinking about it? Didn’t you ever wish you could lift a bus just by concentrating hard enough? Here’s the shocking truth: You won’t ever be able to make a bus float. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t learn telekinesis.
All people have the ability to move objects with their minds. It might not be a bus or a car, but you might be able to make a chair topple over just by thinking about it. You might be able to slide a cup of coffee across the table without ever touching it, and not spill a drop while you do it.
The secret to tapping your hidden telekinetic powers is to first sharpen your ability to focus your mind on a single task. As busy people, we are all too often thinking of several things at once: We’re rehearsing a speech we have to give while driving our children to T-ball practice and planning the evening’s dinner. We daydream about the latest action movie we saw while we’re talking on the phone to our spouse. This natural unfocused state has caused the vast majority of us to ignore our latent telekinetic abilities.
If you’d like to rise above this, and learn how to move objects by using only the power of your mind, it’s time to start practicing. Find a quiet place to sit, a place free of distractions. Find a single spot on a wall or table. Focus your attention on that spot. Don’t think about anything else. Don’t worry about that report you have to present to your boss tomorrow. Don’t fret about the invitations you still have send for your son’s 10th birthday party.
Just concentrate on that spot for as long as you can. If you find your mind start to wander, focus back on the spot. Try to do this for 10 full minutes.
This sounds easy. But it’s not. We’re not used to focusing on anything today for 10 uninterrupted minutes.
Once you do master the 10-minute test, expand your efforts. Try to focus on that spot for 15 minutes, 20 minutes or more. When you can focus for a full half-hour, you’re ready to move to the next level of telekinetic ability: Learning how to move small, light objects with your mind.
But before you do get to that level, make sure you sharpen your focus. It’s the first, and most critical step, toward learning telekinesis. We do hope this article has informed you on what can be done with telekinesis and has inspired you to learn it.
