Most carport companies specialize solely on carports that are designed for residential purposes. Most residential carports are smaller in size and more attractive in appearance because they are intended to blend in with the existing property. If you are specifically looking for a large or commercial carport, you will find that such companies are a little bit more difficult to find. Large shelters that are intended for large vehicles or for multiple vehicle and equipment storage are usually only distributed by the larger manufacturing companies. If you look close enough though, you may find a small local company that does deal with large shelter manufacturing and installation.
I recently ran into such a company near my town. Baja Carports is located in Martinez, California. Baja Construction Co. Inc. carries a wide selection of large storage buildings and shelters. They have sizes that are intended to shelter one single large RV, mini storage buildings, to solar support structures designed to house solar panels in the masses. I had no problem finding exactly what I wanted and needed in their inventory. Never lose focus of what you need out of a shelter when you are shopping. It is very easy to get caught up in what is being offered rather than sticking to what you really need.
I was glad to find a manufacturing company that new what they were doing because their shelters are sturdy, made with good quality materials, and I can rest assured that they will last a very long time. The first phone call was all it took for me to realize that I had made a good business decision by choosing to invest in one of their multiple vehicle carports. The metal carport has been in use now for about two years at one of my rental properties and I cannot be any happier with the results.
